          StarCore 6LS Wire

          SPECIFICATION
          E70C-6M H4 per AWS A5.18, ASME SFA 5.18

            Wire Dia Package Part No.
            0.052" 750 lb (340 kg) drum PRSS279315-713

          CHARACTERISTICS
          • Clean weld beads with minimal silicon
            islands; almost self-peeling
          • Weld bead toe lines almost completely
            free of silicon deposits
          • Better wetting action than solid wire
          • Better side wall fusion than solid wire
          • Ideal for sheet metal

ProStar StarCore 6LS wire is a metal-cored wire
with fewer silicon islands than other metal-cored
wires; remaining islands are almost self-peeling. Weld
bead toe lines and the weld bead face are nearly
free of silicon deposits reducing cleanup. Combined FILLER METALS
with low spatter rates, StarCore 6LS wire saves time
and money spent cleaning prior to painting, coating
or plating. Recommended for single-pass and multi- ProStar StarCore 6 metal-cored wire offers less
pass welding in both flat and horizontal positions. spatter, cleaner welds and reduced fume levels.
Recommended shielding gas is a mixture of argon
and CO 2, with a minimum of 75% Ar and a maximum
of 92% Ar. Arc characteristics improve with richer
argon gases while spatter and fume levels decrease.
